The objectives of the Unit are :

1. To conduct researches in pure and applied Translation Studies and Interpreting.
2. To establish research collaborations across disciplines, between Translation Studies and Interpreting and other academic areas or disciplines.
3. To conduct co-researches on translation and interpreting, involving various foreign languages, with other institutions.
4. To develop collaboration with publishers and other institutions in the publication of translations and research books.
5. To offer short term courses and training workshops for translators and interpreters.
6. To provide consultation and translation and interpreting services.
